Sequential injection analysis of lead using time-based colorimetric detection and preconcentration on an anionic-exchange resin.

چکیده
The development of a sequential injection analysis manifold for the colorimetric determination of lead in water samples is described The concentration of lead was assessed from its catalytic effect on the reaction of resazurine reduction caused by sulfide in an alkali medium. To that effect, the reaction zone was stopped at the detector, and the time interval required for the attainment of an absorbance decrease of 0.800 at the wavelength of 610 nm was estimated. Interference of other transition metals of the samples was minimized by adding potassium iodide to the sample and retaining the iodocomplexes formed in an on-line anionic resin (AGI X8). Elution was made with a 2 mol/L sodium hydroxide solution. The relationship [SIA] microg/L = 0.99 (+/- 0.11) x [ETAAS] microg/L + 0 (+/- 4) was obtained upon comparing the results given by the proposed system and by electrothermal atomization atomic absorption spectrometry (ETAAS) after the analysis of ten water samples.

A flow system for the spectrophotometric determination of lead in natural and waste waters is proposed. The determination is based on the colorimetric reaction between malachite green and iodide, followed by the formation of a ternary complex between those reagents and lead cations. The developed flow system includes a lead pre-concentration step in a column packed with a cationic resin (Chelex...

A method integrating a long waveguide capillary cell with a preconcentration resin in a multi-syringe flow injection analysis (MSFIA) system for iron determination in waters was developed. The determination of iron is based on a colorimetric reaction and two reagents were tested, ferrozine and ammonium thiocyanate. A liquid waveguide capillary cell (1.0 m pathlength, 550 μm i.d. and 250 μL inte...

The solid-phase chemiluminescence analysis of gold on the surface of an anion-exchange resin was studied. A method for the fast determination of gold using flow injection was established. The anion-exchange resin was used as an adsorbent of gold ion in the form of AuCl4-. The cation-exchange resin was used for the on-line separation of cations in the matrix. To obtain the best results, the prec...
